Over 17 % of Americans under the age of 65 had no health insurance. Children under the age of 18 were uninsured almost 9% of the time. 20% of the people who are in the age range of 18 to 65 were uninsured. There are almost 44 milion of Americans under the age of 65 that have no health insurance, either private or public.
65% of Americans, under the age of 65 are covered under a private health insurance contract. Private insurance accounted for 58% of children under 18 years of age.
