Liechtenstein
March 11th, 2010 | by admin |In central Europe, there is a country or more properly a principality. It is the tiny country of Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein is nestled in between Austria and Switzerland and has been aligned with both countries in the past.
With a total land area of only 160 square kilometres, this is the world’s smallest recognized country. This area of land would take in only about 90% of the square kilometres as Washington DC. It only has borders of 76 kilometres.
This mostly mountainous country is located in the middle of the Swiss Alps. It has a population of only thirty five thousand people with over 76% of them being Roman Catholic.
