Reiki has five symbols that the healer uses to focus the energy. The third of these symbols is the HON SHA ZE SHO NEN. Traditionally the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen connects us with the energy that transmits healing across space and time. The inner voice is so much easier to hear when there is a quieting of the mind s activity. The Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen has the ability to ist in quieting the mind, restoring a sense of mental balance and peace. Yet the most powerful use of this symbol is in hands on or self healing sessions. Often translated to mean “no past, no present, no future,” the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen has the capability of piercing the veil of illusion related to time. It turns the mind into a powerful tool, which can be used to rewrite the past, reprogram the present, and reorient the future.
