When playing with these tiny rabbits, you have to be very careful. They are fragile and if you take them outdoors then you must be extremely careful because they are the perfect size for larger birds and other predators. Don’t let that scare you though… they are a blast to watch and play with.
When it comes to the type of cage you need to get, you don’t have to go as big as you do for a normal rabbit. These are very intelligent animals and can handle bigger cages with different levels. However, you may not wish you get a cage that big for such a small rabbit. Make sure your rabbit cage has a flat bottom, especially with these tiny ones. They will probably fall straight through any wire bottoms.
Taking care of dwarf rabbits is pretty much the same as taking care of a normal sized rabbit. You will want to take them out of their cage as often as you can, but make sure you keep that close eye on them.
Dwarf rabbits will live to about the same life-span as normal rabbits and they can bond with you. They are one of the most popular rabbits because of their size and they do make great companions. If you’re interested in getting a rabbit then you have to look at dwarf rabbits.
