What about the MILLIONS of people who are treated with little to no side effects? If you are attempting to argue that perscription drugs are bad, then I am sorry to inform you that you are sadly misinformed. What does the crappy food that we eat have to do with alternative medicines like this? We’re talking about cures, not prevention. Clearly, the medical system needs some reform, but there is simply very little evidence showing and positive affect beyond what would be obtianed by placebo.

Sure, a doctor will fix you just as Michael Jackson was fixed (God rest him in peace!) or the kids who commit suicide after being put on antidepressants, or people dying in agony while being treated by doctors.
“Alternative” medicine is teaching you to prevent all those horrible diseases, most induced by our great food industry poisoning us every day with their chemically produced “food”, and doctor’s treatments with chemicals that put billions of dollars in the pharmaceutical industry hands.

I recommended The Intention Experiment because it contains many references to verifiable evidence…

I personally know a very gifted healer who demonstrated healing ability 6 times under lab conditions (double blind tests) at London Uni. Yet the experiment was dismissed by ‘Nature’ BEFORE they received any details!

I’m all for proper research and verification but the power of drug companies makes this difficult when it comes to alternative health.

You’re directing me to the intention site? Why? What does this prove? I say, that the benefits of her technique do not extend past those achieve by any other method of meditation or relaxation. There is no evidence, there is no high rate of recovery, in short, any evidence is anecdotal, and unsupported by scientific research. All “good intention” and prayer studies have had results that are no better than chance.

I am VERY well read …
I am VERY well read on the placebo effect btw. Perhaps I might add that I have 27 years experience of alternative approaches to health and have seen far too much to share your viewpoint. Subtle energy is very real and is the science of the future.

How can you possible say with conviction that Eden’s methods are merely meditation or relaxation techniques. Such an umption is the very opposite of true scientific method.

Try the five minute routine for 10 days. I dare you!
