Are there laws making "laying on of hands" or healing with energy work illegal in the US? In what situations?

not certain what you mean "energy work". a number of cardiac units in the US have massage therapists on staff… docs have found the patients heal faster after heart surgery.

    The greatest danger is in pretending to diagnose an illness, or saying you can cure someone when you can’t. Can you afford to be sued by the family of someone with cancer who you claim to have cured yet later died? You won’t get insurance for that.
