First – the Ionic filter will produce ozone. Ozone is a toxic gas that can harm your lungs, and do so very quickly.
Second – a hepa air purifier will filter out just about any allergen that you can find in the air at any point in time.
When you look at the bad side effects of a hepa air filter vs. the good things about a true hepa air purifier, there is no competition, other than price. It’s normally cheaper to get an off-brand ionic filter, but to an extent – you get what you pay for.
