When you desire to get in touch with healing energy, what approach do you find most useful?

Call the Doctor; pray; seek a homeopathic or wholistic healing source; meditate; yoga or other; chinese traditional ; friends and counselors? I am thinking of both physical and mental needs as I write this question…your ideas? I am convinced the cycles of the day have a lot to do with it…rest, restoration..periods of activity, and inactivity in our lives…

I pray & stand on the Word. I believe that our healing was paid for when Jesus went to the cross.

Has anyone gotten results from Energy healing, Reiki, or Cranial Sacral Therapy?

Johrei (it kinda is a form of reiki

Mediums can send energy

But all work with the life energy as reiki does..

There is chakra healing, aura repairs/strenghtening

(There are many more different kinds..I tried a couple, you often get cold when there is healing..)

not certain what you mean "energy work". a number of cardiac units in the US have massage therapists on staff… docs have found the patients heal faster after heart surgery.

Christians and energy healing Pt. 2….?

I asked about this before and have been doing research. I’m still looking for opinions. I found one verse that I’m pondering right now…

Mark 9:38-40: ""Teacher," said John, "we saw a man driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us." "Do not stop him," Jesus said. "No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me, for whoever is not against us is for us.""

So I’m wondering… energy healers, reiki practitioners… if they’re Christian, is it still ‘of the evil’ as some people claim? Does it matter what method of healing you use, if you do it as part of your Christian mission?

Mark 16:15-18: "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.""

I’ve seen the blind receive their sight, short legs grow out, and cancer patients healed. It’s not a placebo. The key phrase in the Scripture you mentioned is "in my name". It is possible for Satan to withhold his diseases, giving the appearance of supernatural healing. If these practitioners you mention are performing miracles and giving Jesus the credit, then it’s OK. If not, beware.

Question about energy healing and the Christian gift of healing?

I’m just trying to wrap my mind around it. In the bible, Jesus tells his followers that they will be able to heal people with the laying of hands and prayer. It’s really God doing the healing through them. And then there are energy healers (now) who don’t claim to be like, a conduit for god to work through them, but use their own energy and the energy of the patient to do the healing. I’m wondering if there’s a difference in the power of these methods of healing. And I’m wondering how Christians view the non-God approach. It does seem to work. I guess I’m just wondering what the difference is. I don’t know how to verbalize my thoughts. lol. too tired.
I don’t believe God sends delusions and makes the unsaved believe a lie. That doesn’t make sense. He wants everyone to be saved. Plus, God made our bodies and called them good. I Believe he wants us to care for our physical and spiritual bodies, not neglect one part. He wants us to be healthy. And there’s no reason to take what Jesus said and did symbolically. Or rather, ONLY symbolically. He said we would do what he did, and his followers DID heal people. There are Bible verses to back me up on this. I don’t believe it stopped with them.
I think I can understand one thing thanks to one comment down there. Satan does try to imitate God, confuse us, lead us away. He always has. Perhaps somehow he’s imitating the gift God gave us to confuse us into thinking we don’t need God.
I did read something where someone experienced a more powerful healing when they called on God to heal through them rather than just their own energy.

as a Pagan\Wiccan i study such healing practices, I do not believe in the christian god, but many gods and goddesses;. i use reiki to heal wounds (sprains, slight brakes, ect…) reiki is your own energy, not coming from any god or goddess. but from within you. which is the main difference, in christianity, they pray to their god to let his power go through them and heal the sick (in which they inadvertantly are using their own spirits to heal the person without their knowledge, they think that God did it.) in the "non-god" approch we recognize that we are using our own spirit or aura to heal the person.

Energy Healing, heat and buzzing sensation?

Hello, I’m an eighteen year old female, and I’ve lately I’ve been getting into meditation and stuff. I’ve always been sort of "different" from other people, meaning that I could see and hear things that other people could not..I’m not going to take the time to explain, but anyways just take it for what it is. The other day my brother had a horrible headache, (he is twelve) and I asked him to come sit by me. I told him that I wanted to try "energy healing" him. It was the first time I’ve ever tried actually healing someone with energy. But anyways, he sat in front of me, and then I closed my eyes and imagined a huge white light comming from outerspace down into my crown chakra and into my body, and forming into a ball in my hand. When I had a good sized white ball in my hand I imagined a brown mucky watery thing in his head, and then I put my hand by his head and imagine that I was pushing the white light into him and that when the white light went into him, the brown stuff drained away. I started feeling a really weird buzzing sensation all over my body, but mostly on my face, and right when I was feeling that he jumped a little and said "Wow, my feet feel hot!" But his headace and his eyes stoped hurting right after I moved my hands. So is it possible that I could have energy healed my brother? It only took like three minutes. And what was the heat and buzzing sensation? Please help!

What you did is called spiritual healing, well done. The more often you do it the better you will getat it. Anyone can do it with a little practice.

I think something horribly horrific has to happen to you. Only then will you be brought to your knees and realize that life is fragile and you could be gone tomorrow. Would you really want to be remembered as a nobody? As someone who didn’t do a damn thing noteworthy of anything in this world?

OK so many in here are just kids having fun and pokes at those who take life a little too seriously….everyone waits for a miracle to happen. What people don’t realize is God has empowered us all to make miracles happen. I’m sure if you think about it, you can think of how to make one happen yourself.

This Christmas each child at school bought dollar store items and put them in shoe boxes and this man we know who spends his whole life doing just this, took them all to a poor village in Guatemala. Imagine the looks on these children’s faces to just witness the beautifully wrapped presents…and their joy when they opened the boxes and found stuff in there that they had never dreamed of…it was nothing to us…just trinkets from the attic or a few things from the dollar store…but to these children, we must have appeared to be miracle workers. It doesn’t take much….it just takes the desire to want to.

Being part of, or taking the lead and doing, something like is how you get the feeling of being healed. I would like to think that is how God would rather us be rather than hiding in fear and praying for our souls. Action speaks louder than words….words are just words and nothing if not reinforced by what you do.

When you do energy healing how do you know whether the energy you’re using is evil or good?

I did some energy healing on a dog today – with almost instant effect – I cleared its heart of great fear that was causing it to be aggressive towards other dogs. The energy that I used was from myself – so I know it is pure and strong. The energy that I use is either from myself (so therefore good and clear) or from outside. If I channel outside energy as with Reiki, I always ask for help and energy borne from pure light so this acts as a kind of filter.
A bigger consideration is what is receiving the energy.
If I am working on something like a tumour, I don’t want to give the tumour pure energy that it will use to grow even more – so I modify the energy before it is delivered and direct it appropriately – so that it can have only a specific purpose – like absorbing bad stuff or enhancing existing defences.

Have you done an energy healing called metamorphosis? If so,what was your experience, did it help you? How long to feel effects?

While I have not experience that particular therapy, I will share that ALL alternative and complimentary therapies work to balance the energy of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Since each person’s imbalance is different, not all people will respond similarly to the same therapy. Unless the treatment is more than $100, give it a shot. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to go back!
